khok-MAH
Chokhmah is not abstract intellect. In the Hebrew Bible it is the practical, Spirit-given skill to shape reality well: the wisdom of Bezalel filled with the Spirit of God 'in wisdom, in understanding, in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship' (Exodus 31:3), the wisdom Solomon asked for to lead a people (1 Kings 3), and the disciplined wisdom that begins with the fear of the Lord (Proverbs 9:10).
In the Ancient Near East, 'wisdom' meant mastery — a craftsman who could work stone, a scribe who could rule a kingdom, a mother who could hold a household together. Chokhmah in Israel took that same practical shape and rooted it in covenant with YHWH: skill under God, not skill instead of God. Wisdom literature (Proverbs, Job, Ecclesiastes) belongs to the same tradition.

Kingdom Builders treat their calling as craftsmanship. Chokhmah means asking God for skill in the actual work — leading a team, writing the book, running the business, raising the family — and then doing the reps to develop it. Wisdom is prayed for and practiced.
Part of the Avodah Lexicon at Avodah Dynamics.
Inside the Avodah Dynamics ecosystem, Chokhmah is the 'skill layer' of every framework: Chazon gives you the vision, Avodah gives you the work, Chokhmah gives you the craft to execute both with excellence. It is why we teach frameworks, not just inspiration — Kingdom Builders are called to master their craft.
